-
Convenience
We understand that most patients have a busy schedule, and attending several dental appointments for a single issue can be overwhelming. As such, we have streamlined the dental crown process by using the latest technology to fabricate your dental crown in about one hour.
-
Aesthetics
Same-day crowns are created using dental porcelain which yields highly realistic results. Your tooth-colored dental crown is matched to your surrounding teeth for a seamless integration. Same-day crowns are often used as a cosmetic treatment due to their aesthetic qualities.
-
Emergency
If your current dental crown fails, we can provide a quick replacement. Unlike traditional treatment, you do not need to wear a temporary crown between appointments. A same-day crown provides immediate repair for uninterrupted, reliable protection for your tooth, smile, and oral health.
The TreatmeNT Process
To begin, some of your external tooth structure, of the affected tooth, needs to be removed. This allows your new dental crown to fit between your neighboring teeth. Next, we need take detailed digital impressions using CEREC 3-D imaging capabilities. Digital impressions alleviate the need for messy materials and dental molds. These impressions are then used to design your crown for a comfortable, secure fit with optimal aesthetics. After a short wait at our dental office, we place your dental crown using a strong dental cement for a secure restoration.
While same-day crowns offer many benefits, sometimes a traditional dental crown may be better suited to your needs. Depending on the material required for your crown, it may need to be fabricated at an offsite lab. For instance, patients suffering from bruxism (grinding) or temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD) may require a stronger material that can withstand excessive stress and wear. During your consultation, we complete a comprehensive evaluation and discuss your goals to determine the best solution for you.
